Since 1999, Mr. Tan has steadfastly worked at the Panda Base for over two decades, specializing in the care of young pandas. With his meticulous attention and rich experience, he has raised generations of pandas, earning the affectionate nickname "Grandpa Tan" from panda fans. As the keeper of the famous panda He Hua, he and He Hua are dubbed the “Tan Mianhua” (Cotton Fluffing) group online, taken literally from the combination of their names.
