“Metro + Shuttle Bus” to and from the Base

1.To West Gate (including return trip)

By Metro: Take Metro Line 3 to the Chengdu Junqu General Hospital Station, exit the Station from Exit B, walk 280 meters toward Yulei Crossing to the bus stop, and take Chengdu Public Transport Group’s Bus No. 409 to the West Gate (the fare is CNY 2); Bus No. 409 Chengdu Junqu General Hospital Station (Exit B) summer operating hours: 6:45-18:00; winter operating hours: 7:15-17:30; Bus No. 409 Panda Base West Gate Station summer operating hours: 7:05-18:20; winter operating hours: 7:35-17:50. 2.To South Gate (including return trip)

Take Metro Line 3 to the Panda Avenue Station, exit the Station from Exit A, walk 10 meters, and take the Bus No. 408 to the South Gate (return to Panda Avenue Station: at the stop opposite to the drop-off point; the one-way price is CNY 2). 3.Airports and railway stations to and from the Base

After arriving at Chengdu Shuangliu Airport, Chengdu Tianfu International Airport or the Chengdu East Railway Station, visitors can take the nearest metro and transfer to Line 3. Then refer to the guide above.

4.There are direct buses to the Panda Base from attractions like Chunxi Road, and Kuanzhaixiangzi Alleys. For more information, please follow the official WeChat accounts of “Scenic Area Direct Bus” and “Chengdu Tourism General Entrance” and the mini-program of “Chengdu Bus APP”.

To and from West Gate

1.Take Metro Line 3 to the Chengdu Junqu General Hospital Station, exit the Station from Exit B, walk 500 meters, and take Bus No. 110 at the “Chengdu Junqu General Hospital Station” bus stop (bound for Gingko Park Bus Stop). Get off after one stop at the “Yulei Road and Cuiwei Road Intersection” bus stop, and walk 500 meters to the West Gate of Chengdu Research Base of Giant Panda Breeding.

Bus No. 110 (bound for Gingko Park Bus Stop) operates from 8:00 to 20:00 (fare: CNY 2).

Return to Metro Line 3 Station: Take Bus No. 110 at the “Yulei Road and Cuiwei Road Intersection” bus stop (bound for Chengdu International Trade City Hub Bus Stop). Get off after one stop at the “Chengdu Junqu General Hospital” bus stop, and walk 500 meters to the Metro Line 3 Station.

Bus No. 110 (bound for Chengdu International Trade City Hub Bus Stop) operates from 7:00 to 20:00 (fare: CNY 2).

2. Take Metro Line 3 to Chengdu Junqu General Hospital Station, exit the Station from Exit B, walk 130 meters, and take Bus No. 659 (bound for Longfu Garden) at the “Metro Chengdu Junqu General Hospital Station” bus stop. Get off after two stops at the “Yulei Road and Cuiwei Road Intersection” bus stop, and walk 500 meters to the West Gate of Chengdu Research Base of Giant Panda Breeding.

Bus No. 659 (bound for Longfu Garden) operates from 7:40 to 20:30 (fare: CNY 2).

Return to Metro Line 3 Station: Take Bus No. 659 at the “Yulei Road and Cuiwei Road Intersection” bus stop (bound for Metro Chengdu Junqu General Hospital Station). Get off after two stops at the “Metro Chengdu Junqu General Hospital Station” bus stop, and walk 150 meters to the Metro Line 3 Station.

To and from South Gate

1. Take Metro Line 3 to Metro Chengdu Zoo Station, exit the Station from Exit D, walk 100 meters, and take Bus No. 655 (bound for Xindu Passenger Transportation Hub) at the “Metro Chengdu Zoo Station” bus stop. Get off after nine stops at the “Panda Base” bus stop, and walk for about 5 minutes to the South Gate of Chengdu Research Base of Giant Panda Breeding.

Bus No. 655 (bound for Xindu Passenger Transportation Hub) operates from 6:30 to 21:10 (fare: CNY 2).

Return to Metro Line 3 Station: Take bus No. 655 at the “Panda Base” bus stop (bound for Qinggang Road North Metro Weijianian Station). Get off after nine stops at the “Metro Chengdu Zoo Station” bus stop, and walk 200 meters to the Metro Line 3 Station.

Bus No. 655 (bound for Qinggang Road North Metro Weijianian Station) operates from 6:00 to 20:00 (fare: CNY 2).

2. Take Metro Line 3 to Metro Chengdu Zoo Station, exit the Station from Exit A, walk 200 meters, and take Bus No. 87 at the “Metro Chengdu Zoo Station” bus stop (bound for Longtan Industrial Park Bus Stop). Get off after 12 stops at the “Panda Base” bus stop, and walk for about 5 minutes to the South Gate of Chengdu Research Base of Giant Panda Breeding.

Bus No. 87 (bound for Longtan Industrial Park Bus Stop) operates from 6:30 to 21:00 (fare: CNY 2).

Return to Metro Line 3 Station: Take bus No. 87 at the “Panda Base” bus stop (bound for Zhaojue Temple Bus Stop). Get off after 11 stops at the “Metro Chengdu Zoo Station” bus stop, and walk 200 meters to the Metro Line 3 Station.

Chengdu Metro has opened Line 1, Line 2, Line 3, Line 4, Line 5, Line 6, Line 7, Line 8, Line 9, Line 10, Line 17, and Line 18, all of which adopt a metered ticket system. Starting price of CNY 2 for 4 kilometers; within the range of 4 to 12 kilometers, CNY 1 for each additional 4 kilometers; within the range of 12 to 24 kilometers, CNY 1 for each additional 6 kilometers; within the range of 24 to 40 kilometers, CNY 1 for each additional 8 kilometers; within the range of 40 to 50 kilometers, CNY 1 for each additional 10 kilometers; for more than 50 kilometers, CNY 1 for each additional 20 kilometers. Chengdu Tram Line 2 adopts a single-trip ticket system, which costs CNY 2 each time.
Passengers taking metro with “Tianfu Tong Card” electronic wallet will enjoy 10% discount.
